# 40. Ctrl + Alt + Tab: Keep the App Switcher Open
The normal Alt + Tab requires you to keep holding the Alt key, which can be inconvenient when you want to browse through many open windows.
Press **Ctrl + Alt + Tab** to open the app switcher and keep it on screen even after releasing the keys. Then use arrow keys or the mouse to select the desired window. This version gives you more control and comfort when switching between many applications.
